At Tuttle Crossing Dental Group, we offer a wide variety of services to ensure your mouth and body are as healthy as possible. We start by listening to each person’s concerns and work together to reach our ultimate goal, a healthy, functional, beautiful smile. Each person is unique and will have a customized treatment plan specifically tailored to your individual concerns. We offer a wide array of services, from restoring teeth with mercury-free fillings and crowns to dentures or partials to dental implants and full-mouth rehabilitation.
We start all of our dental relationships with a new patient exam, a thorough cleaning, and a review of your health history. This allows us to collect all the necessary background history to formulate an individualized oral health plan for your specific needs. At this appointment we will take any necessary radiographs and photos and we may make impressions for study models. We catalog your past dental history and evaluate your current dental health by performing a detailed examination.
We assess any cracked or broken teeth, we check for any existing or new decay, and we evaluate any previous restorations to ensure that everything is healthy and maintained. We evaluate your gums to assess periodontal health and look for any risk factors for disease and propose a scheduled periodontal recall visit for routine monitoring. We check your entire mouth for normal appearance and function and look for any abnormalities or sores. These can range from small ulcers to precancerous or cancerous conditions that may require early intervention. By assessing your mouth at least twice yearly we are in an excellent position to see any changes and get you the treatment you need as early as possible. We also provide blood pressure screenings and head and neck exams that may be recommended by your physician for your overall health.
Once we have collected all of your dental information and established a current baseline, we can propose individualized treatment plans to help you attain your oral health goals. We offer mercury-free composite restorations for the conservative fillings needed to fix decay or small chips. To repair larger decay or fractures, a crown is usually the best treatment, but may require a build-up or root canal therapy depending on the extent of the cavity or the severity of the break. We can offer same-day digital crowns or large milled restorations made here in our office for certain situations, normally dependent on tooth location and size of restoration. If a same-day crown is not indicated, we can take an optical impression and send the information to our highly trained dental lab, where a state-of-the-art and beautiful crown can be made and sent back to us.
To replace missing teeth, a dental implant is normally the most ideal option. An implant is an artificial tooth root that is anchored into the bone that we can put a crown onto that acts like a natural tooth. A dental bridge can also replace a missing tooth, but this option involves putting crowns on both teeth on either side of the missing tooth and connecting them together. This option is less desirable because it affects teeth that may otherwise not need crowns. For multiple missing teeth, removable partial or full dentures can improve your smile and provide some function. These can be greatly enhanced upon with dental implants to help provide stability, if necessary. There are many other treatment options and variations on care that we offer and provide, but are recommended on a case by case basis. Feel free to call us if you have further questions!
For any urgent or immediate problems, please let our office know as soon as possible so that we can accommodate you and help you in any way possible. We are available to help manage or relieve tooth pain or infections caused by decay or bacteria, or from chipped or broken teeth due to trauma, should the need arise. We will evaluate any dental issue you may experience and propose a plan to fix or repair your problem as quickly and optimally as we can. If necessary, we can refer you to one of our recommended specialists when additional care may be needed, specifically for root canals, extractions or acute periodontal issues.
We recommend seeing all of our patients at least twice yearly for routine check-ups and cleanings. This allows us to detect any changes in your dental health and helps us to correct them in a timely and efficient manner. More frequent cleanings decreases the amount of disease-causing bacteria in your mouth and helps to ensure your mouth is healthier longer. Our highly-skilled hygienist will remove any plaque and tartar from the teeth and evaluate your gums for generalized health. We recommend routine radiographs to monitor for decay or changes in the bone that surrounds the teeth. We look forward to these visits to ensure your mouth is as healthy as it can be.
